RIF strives to provide its employees with a framework and safe working conditions. Example of our actions : we work on the detection of risky behavior, involvement of the management committee, observations and security exchanges.

Green Procurement

As part of its CSR Charter and its Code of Conduct, Ricoh Industrie France has for several years a responsible purchasing policy at the heart of its strategy of Sustainable and Ethics.

Through the Green Procurement, we support our suppliers to integrate the management of their climate impact in their management system in the respect of the 3 pillars of sustainable development and in line with the values of the Ricoh Group: Integrity, harmony with society and the environment. This approach goes far beyond the selection of suppliers, since it is a real support and evaluation to require the establishment of a management system for chemicals to ensure immunity from any substance banned by the Ricoh Group because of its danger to humans or the environment.

This principle is deployed within the organization Ricoh Industrie France since all of our suppliers are invited to integrate their upstream processes the principles of preservation of environment and chemicals management systems (CMS).

However, the results of the analysis of greenhouse gas generated during the lifecycle of Ricoh products show that emissions in upstream production, including the production of materials and parts, represent a significant share of total emissions.

Conflict Minerals

Our “Conflict Minerals” policy aims to implement a responsible supply chain management of minerals to avoid the supply from conflict-affected areas and high-risk areas, and work with companies that respect human rights and avoid contributing to conflict through their mineral sourcing practices. It is expected to cultivate transparent mineral supply chains and companies’ sustainable growth by the righteous decision-making on the mineral resource procurement with a view to enabling countries to benefit from their natural mineral resources and preventing the extraction and trade of minerals from becoming a source of conflict, human rights abuses, and insecurity.

Furthermore, Ricoh Industrie France signed the responsible supplier relationships Charter in 2016.
